Hello! My name is Alesandra. I’m an honors undergraduate student at The University of Texas at Austin studying Informatics with a concentration in Social Justice and User Experience Design.
I’m passionate about engaging in research that empowers the communities I partner with. My research interests include community leveraging of tech to support coalition building, mutual aid, and grassroots movements. I’m also more broadly curious about themes in Computer-Supported Cooperative Work and Socio-Technical Systems. My affiliations include the iSchool Inclusion Institute, the Human-AI Interaction (HAI) Lab, the Research on Equity, Access, and incLusIon in Technology and societY (REALITY) Lab, and Carnegie Mellon University’s Human-Computer Interaction Institute as an REU.
