Ale (she/they) is a Human-Centered Computing PhD student at the Georgia Institute of Technology. She is part of the Just Design Lab and is advised by Dr. Lynn Dombrowski.
Her research is rooted in partnerships with local grassroots and politically-engaged organizations in Atlanta. They are interested in exploring the role of technological safety and anti-surveillance practices in activist communities and use ethnographic and design research methods to investigate these questions.Ale holds a Bachelor’s degree in Informatics from the University of Texas at Austin, where she worked with the REALITY Lab prior to starting her PhD.
